We had some really warm days lately, and I was eagerly behind getting them.Nice, you are getting them earlier than us.
Great catches!... At the edge of the pond I spotted a damselfly:
... And right behind that, I spotted my first dragonfly of the year! ...
Soft wings versus soft focusGreat catches!
A winter damselfly and a four-spotted chaser.
I'm still waiting for the four-spotted chasers...
Really nice. And the wings look not fully hardened yet.
GreatFirst DIF of the year
I'm happy for you and your results. It’s a national holiday here, so an excellent time to go out for a walk in the morning!
Two damselflies:
I went looking for dragons, but saw none. But I did find damsels, frogs and grebes, so I was still very happy with the results. Less so with the stinging nettles that attacked my ankles, should’ve worn boots instead of sneakersGreat
I'm happy for you and your results.
I hope I can find dragons this weekend, too...
Yesterday, Ascension Day, I had no luck
I know, but since the beginning of the season, I was hoping for similar hatching photos as you now got... There’s still a whole dragonfly season ahead, so you’ll almost certain of getting a dragonfly shot this year!
